Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
Location: 1350 Saskatchewan Ave, Winnipeg MB R3E0L2

Shift:
Days (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
Evenings (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
Nights (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
(Rotation Every 2 weeks)
Job Summary:
The Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) is responsible for repair and maintenance of all production equipment, machinery and any equipment deficiencies that present a health and safety hazard or that may decrease productivity. Ensuring your contribution to a safe and efficient environment, this role reports to the Maintenance Leader and Plant Manager.
You will use your ongoing knowledge of how the machinery works to ensure that it remains functional by performing routine maintenance, cleaning and repairs. Problem-solving skills are crucial as you keep the machinery running and reduce any potential gaps in production.

Core Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to,
- Maintenance of all equipment and machinery
- Troubleshoots to identify problems and adjusts/repairs equipment
- Uses machines, tools, fixtures, plant equipment and resources necessary to carry out the required tasks
- Respond and engage with maintenance challenges that utilize multiple skills and resources; seek appropriate help when required
- Documents, records and reports work performed
- Schedules preventative maintenance work with Supervisors and Managers
- Performs assessments to determine required equipment, parts or materials needed to complete repair or improve work
- Support maintenance team requirements
- Ensure all applicable health & safety requirements are followed, report and addresses any unsafe practices or conditions immediately
- Carries out additional projects and assignments as required
What We Are Looking For:
- Holds an industrial mechanic (millwright) certification
- Attention to detail.
- Team player who is willing to learn.
- Punctual and reliable attendance.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, complex production equipment, facility systems, and control systems
- Ability to dismantle, repair, & assemble machines and equipment
- Maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Ability to read, understand and interpret schematics, drawings, installation/operation manuals, support information, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted)
- Available to sometimes work “on-call”
- Other duties as assigned
